FAQ
Q. how do I know it’s time to call a painter?
A. Remember last year when you promised your partner you’d paint the house yourself, but… it still hasn’t gotten done? You’re staring down a daunting task and realizing this is far more than you bargained for. Painting isn’t as easy as you thought!
Or maybe you understand the difference between professional painting and DIY and you value the importance of a professional finish.
It’s time to call Pitcher Mountain Painting when:

Chipping, peeling, tired, faded, outdated - we’ve got it covered!
Q. how soon can I get my home painted?
A. We always work to fit you into our schedule as soon as possible! We fill up fast and often book our projects several months in advance. Our first step to getting started is to provide you with a thorough, visual estimate. After this, we’ll provide you with a scope of work for your project tailored to your individual needs. Once you’re committed to moving forward, we’ll find a convenient time that works around your schedule and get you booked into our calendar as soon as we have availability!
Q. what do I need to do to prepare for you coming to my home?
A. We like to make the process as seamless as possible for you, so you don’t have to do much to get ready for us. We will move furniture and objects out of the way and ensure the space we’re not covering is well-protected from paint. We’re gentle and considerate with your items, but we do ask that you move things out of the space you might not want someone else to handle (priceless heirlooms, etc.)
Q. can you help me choose a color?
A. While we’re not interior designers (but we have ones we can recommend to you!), we understand paint inside and out. We know which brands and sheens to get you the results you’re looking for and can help guide you through making these important decisions for your home. We use almost exclusively Benjamin Moore paint products because we demand the highest quality products. Benjamin Moore is able to provide custom colors.
We’re always happy to chime in with our two cents on color, let you know which colors might not get you the results you’re looking for, and help make the decision any way we can. But, we like to remind our customers that we’re painters, not interior designers.
Q. why shouldn’t I just do it myself?
A. If you’re on this page, there’s a high chance you haven’t embarked on doing it yourself yet, despite considering it! Our customers often tell us that painting is a lot more than they bargained for! There are many things to consider, proper tools and equipment to acquire, unanticipated snags, and it can take up a lot of time that you as the homeowner don’t have. Painting is more than just putting colors on a wall.
There’s a huge difference between professional painting and doing it yourself (believe us). So if you don’t want it to look like you painted your own house, best to call us to do it for you. We take great care in protecting your most important investment and have built a reputation of customer satisfaction.
